Scoring Performance
Performance data is captured using Scorecards, which are generated
from Templates. Foundation and Core level Users can choose
to adopt any of the sets of Headline KPIs whilst Enhanced
level users may, in addition, define up to 10 of their own
measures (without need for software changes). Standard Templates
are available.
Scorecards are recorded against your own Company. If you choose
the Core or Enhanced level of entry then you may also link
scorecards to other companies (these can be Divisions or Business
Units of a single Organisation), Scorecards can also be linked
to contacts (at the company) and Projects (in which the company
is involved).
The system uses data capture wizards to simplify the entry
of data. Using the wizard the user is stepped through each
of the measures in the scorecard in turn, entering their scores
or the raw performance data the system requires to calculate
their performance scores using user defined formulae. The
system also allows the user to enter comments against each
measure as it is scored.
The system allows users to create scorecards for others to
complete, it automatically generates emails to prompt Scorecard
completion and issues email reminders if scores are not submitted.

Defining Performance Measures (Enhanced level only)
Users (system administrators) can define up to 10 of their
own performance measures. The information is supplied to BSLwho
will set up the template on your behalf. Each measure has
its own user defined target score, weighting and expected
performance range as appropriate. The system supports different
types of performance measure in the same template including
Multiple choice questions and answers, Formula derived scores
and, Percentage and Number scores. Scores for all measure
types can be expressed in percentage terms for ease of comparison.

Graphing and Reporting
The system includes a report library for standard user defined
reporting. Report criteria specified and saved to the library
using wizards. Saved reports can be re-run on request and
the report criteria of saved reports can be edited prior to
re-running the reports. All graphical output can be easily
customised and the system includes facilities to output performance
data to Excel. Users can produce reports using their own data
and the Industry averages, highs and lows.
